18 times its SEO spend: inside the $1.62m pipeline an industrial manufacturer built from search
From January to September 2026, organic search brought an industrial humidification manufacturer $1.62m in qualified pipeline, about 18 times what it paid for SEO over the same months.
The Challenge
The manufacturer sells dry fog humidification systems to factories, warehouses, data centers, hospitals and wine cellars. Paid search was its biggest source of leads, and every one of those leads came with a cost per click.
Organic search was already its second-biggest source, but nobody could say what it was worth. In the first ten months of 2025, fewer than one in four website enquiries came from organic search. Form enquiries sat in HubSpot and calls in CallRail, and the two were never reported together, so organic search showed up as traffic rather than pipeline.
The content had grown the same way. Dozens of overlapping articles competed for the same searches, and the main product and industry pages were built before most of today's search traffic arrived.
The Solution
We treated organic search as a lead channel, not a traffic chart. That meant fixing the articles buyers actually land on, rebuilding the homepage around what a buyer needs before they enquire, and following every organic lead through to whether the sales team qualified it.

$1.62m in qualified organic pipeline
From January to September 2026, the sales team qualified 47% of the calls and form enquiries that came from organic search. Valued at the client's average order, those qualified leads represent $1.62m in pipeline.
Pipeline worth 18 times the cost of SEO
The qualified organic pipeline is worth about 18 times what the client paid for its SEO retainer over the same nine months, not counting the one-off homepage project. Organic leads also arrive without a cost per click.
Organic leads qualify as often as paid search leads
47% of organic leads were qualified, matching paid search at 48% and ahead of direct visits at 38%. Organic search was the second-biggest source of leads after paid search, and unlike paid search it carries no cost per click. The full breakdown is in the table below.
Website enquiries up 51% on 2025
From 1 January to 27 October 2026, website enquiries were up 51% on the same period of 2025. Nine of the first ten months beat the same month a year earlier, and July was level. Enquiries from organic search rose 40%.
Clicks from Google search up 165% year on year
In October 2026, the site received 165% more clicks from Google search than in October 2025, and monthly clicks had tripled since May (see the chart at the top). More people now reach the site from search than a year ago, which is why the main landing pages are the next piece of work.

AI assistants such as ChatGPT search and Copilot have started sending leads, and most of them were qualified. ChatGPT now lists the client among the leading dry fog manufacturers.
